8. Squats and lunges

Squats and lunges are the best exercise for the glutes, thighs and hips. Take your lunges to the front rather than the behind for maximum thigh involvement. Squats are most effective when they are done at a 90 degree angle or lower. This is because the deeper the squat, the more it makes your muscle fibers work the glutes to the maximum. Note that people should only go as low as they feel comfortable.
